The boys can go to a week of summer camp where they can earn merit badges. This is a boy led troop, so they choose where and what they want to do, with adults offering only guidance and experience. They visit Battleships and air shows, National Parks, go hiking, canoeing, swimming, skating, spelunking (caving), and rock climbing, to name a few.
Anyone wishing to learn more about Troop 74 and what scouting can offer your children, your family, your church and your community, please go to our troop web site at www.bsatroop74.com. The Boy Scouts of Troop 74 have a lot of information on what they do and how they do it. Check out our "Memories Captured" photo gallery of past events and outings spanning several years and you will see lots of boys and young men enjoying the outdoors and the challenges and opportunities scouting has to offer. Maybe someday soon all of us will see our picture in the gallery, now wouldn't that be something!!!
